In my opinion, the actions that the British took against the Colonies were completely justifiable. Yes, it is true that the British have made a few mistakes on the first few interactions they had with the colonies, suggesting the Stamp Act, Sugar Act, etc. However, in general, the Colonies continuously doubted the British and treated them as enemies.
The colonists complained about literally every single "Act" given by the British, whether it was for the better or for the worse - The Proclamation of 1763, the Sugar Act of 1764, the Quartering Act of 1765, Stamp Act, Townshend Acts, etc.
For example, the Tea Act were created as a means of peace between the colonists. Instead of taking this to good use, the Colonists decided to cause the Boston Tea Party, throwing tons of tea in the water.
